Enquiry drafts
Drafts let you save an incomplete enquiry and come back to it later. The draft is stored separately from your live enquiries, so it won't appear in the Enquiry Bank until you convert it.
Save a draft
- Open Sales > Add Enquiry.
- Fill in whatever information you have so far (customer, products, etc.). Not all fields are required for a draft.
- Click Save Draft at the bottom of the form.
- You'll see a success message and be taken back to the Enquiry Bank.
You can also save a draft when the form has validation errors. If you click Save Enquiry with missing required fields, a modal lists the issues. Click the Save Draft button inside that modal to save your progress and fix the issues later.
View your drafts
- Open Sales > View (the Enquiry Bank).
- Click the Drafts button in the top-right area (next to the settings icon).
- A full-screen modal opens showing all saved drafts for your firm.
The drafts table shows: Customer, Contact Person, Products, Quantity, Date created, Created By, and Updated By.
All users with permission to add enquiries can see all drafts, not just their own.
Continue a draft
- Open the Drafts modal from the Enquiry Bank.
- Find your draft and click Continue in the Actions column.
- The Continue Draft form opens, looking nearly identical to Add Enquiry, pre-filled with your saved data.
- Make any changes you need. You have two options:
- Save Draft — saves your changes back to the draft without creating an enquiry.
- Convert to Enquiry — validates all required fields and, if complete, creates a real enquiry and removes the draft.
If you click Convert to Enquiry and some required fields are still missing, a modal lists what needs to be filled in. You can save as a draft from that modal and come back later.
Delete a draft
- Open the Drafts modal from the Enquiry Bank.
- Click the delete icon next to the draft you want to remove.
- Confirm the deletion. This cannot be undone.
Common questions
Who can see drafts? Anyone in your firm with the Add Enquiry permission can view, continue, and delete any draft.
Is there version history for drafts? No. Drafts track who created them and who last updated them, but there is no revision history. The draft is simply overwritten each time you save.
What happens when I convert a draft? The draft data is validated against the same rules as a normal enquiry. If everything is complete, a new enquiry is created in the Enquiry Bank and the draft is automatically deleted.
Can I create a draft from an existing enquiry? No. Drafts are only for new enquiries that haven't been saved yet. To modify an existing enquiry, use the Edit function from the Enquiry Bank.
