View current stock#

The Stock screen is the snapshot of what your firm currently holds. It is the place to look up "do we have this item?" and "where is it kept?".

Open the screen#

1. Open Inventory in the sidebar.
2. Click Stock. The page opens with the Stock heading at the top.

Find an item#

The screen offers two areas for narrowing the list.

• Search product heads… — filter by product head name.
• All Godowns — pick one or more warehouses. The picker has its own Search godowns… box for long lists.
• Search rooms… — enabled once at least one godown is chosen.
• Search racks… — enabled once at least one room is chosen.

The list updates as you change filters. The location pickers only show if your role has warehouse, room, or rack management scope; otherwise the screen displays "Showing all locations".

Read a row#

Each row shows a product head, the count of codes underneath it, and the current quantity. If you have permission to see stock value, two extra columns show value excluding and including tax.

Use Manage on a row to drill into that head's individual product codes.

Actions on the screen#

The dropdown at the top right of Stock exposes:

• Transfer Stock — move stock between locations. See Transfer stock.
• Transfer History — review past transfers.
• Physical Stock Entry — add or remove stock at a rack as a plain ±N movement. Requires the physical-adjustment permission.
• Stock Entry History — review past physical stock entries.
• Stock Ledger — combined in/out movements for any product over a date range. The ledger modal has its own column toggle (top-right of the modal): tick or untick a column to show/hide it, and drag the grip handle next to a column name to reorder. The choice is remembered per device.
• Toggle Columns — show or hide the data columns described above.

Future stock columns#

If your administrator has granted you the View Future Stock Columns permission, two extra columns appear on the Stock page:

• Pending Arrival — total quantity expected to arrive from purchase orders that have been sent but not fully received, plus any stock arrivals waiting for approval.
• Pending Dispatch — total quantity expected to leave from sales orders not yet fully delivered, plus any deliveries waiting for approval.

These columns help you plan ahead by showing what stock movements are in the pipeline. The numbers update each time you refresh the page.

Common questions#

Why does the screen show zero for an item I just received?#

Either the arrival has not been approved yet, or you are looking at a different warehouse, room, or rack than where the stock landed. Open In Stock to see the arrival's status.

How do I export the snapshot?#

The screen is designed to be read on screen. Narrow the view with the filters and column toggles, then take a screenshot or print.
