Settings overview
The Settings screen is where you adjust how the app works for you and, if you are an administrator, how it works for your firm. The available tabs depend on your role and on whether you are using the desktop or web app.
What you may see
- Personalisation — your own preferences. Visible only in the desktop app.
- Security — your password, your email, your personal email accounts, and your active sessions. See Security.
- Users — add, edit, and manage the people in your firm. Visible to anyone allowed to manage at least one user. See Users and permissions.
- Billing — storage usage and backups. Administrators only. See Billing.
- Firm Customisation — firm name, address, logo, email accounts, and document templates. Administrators only. See Firm customisation and Document templates.
Open Settings
- Open Settings in the sidebar.
- The page heading reads Settings with a row of tabs underneath.
- Click any tab to switch sections.
The currently selected tab is reflected in the page address, so you can bookmark or link to a specific section.
Common questions
Why do I see fewer tabs than someone else?
Tabs are hidden when you do not have the matching permission. Personalisation is also hidden in the web version of the app and only appears in the desktop app.
Can changes here affect other people?
Yes. Firm Customisation, Users, and Billing affect the entire firm. Be careful with name, logo, and template changes.
